ANCC Certification Review

The ANCC Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (Psych Mental Health Nurse Practitioner) board certification examination (Across the Lifespan) is a competency-based assessment designed to evaluate the entry-level clinical knowledge and skills of Psych Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. This certification aligns with the Consensus Model for APRN Regulation, encompassing Licensure, Accreditation, Certification, and Education.

Upon completing the eligibility requirements and successfully passing the exam, you will be awarded the credential PMHNP-BC (Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner-Board Certified), which is valid for five years. To maintain this credential, you must keep your license to practice and meet the renewal requirements in place at the time of your certification renewal.

During your preceptorship, you will receive continuous reinforcement of ANCC review content. Our preceptors are trained to integrate and emphasize the essential knowledge you will be tested on during the ANCC examination. We employ creative methods to enhance knowledge retention and application, ensuring that by the end of your preceptorship, you will feel confident and well-prepared to sit for the ANCC exam.
